Described and illustrated in Bond (1908): "font with a shelf corbelled out on one side of the bowl, to support a basin or a chrismatory; the lettering and the inscription are modern, but not the projection." The octagonal mounted font has a Tudor rose inside a quatrefoil window on each of the eight panels of the basin sides; the inscription runs between the rim and the panel motifs; the chamfer is ornamented with a rosette in each of the eight panels. The pedestal base is octagonal and plain. Described and illustrated in Stabb (1908): "The font [plate 107c] is interesting, as it retains the shelf at the side of the bowl for holding the baptismal bowl, or the cruets for the chrism oil, etc.; the bowl of the font has been re-cut, which gives it a new appearance, and might cause it to be overlooked as being of no great age." Not mentioned in Pevsner (1952).
