Described and illustrated in Boström (1966- , Bd. II, hft. 2, p. 301ff): "The oldest preserved object in the church is a baptismal font of Gotland limestone [...] dating from c. 1215-1225. From 1770 to 1842 it supported a pulpit, and after that it was used in the churchyard as the base of sundial until 1923 when it was moved into the church." This limestone font is a "Gotland work related to the anonymous masters Calcarius Secundus and Globus" (ibid., p. 233, caption to the ill. on p. 232). The basin, that shows several bad cracks, is ornamented with a blind arcade of large round arches, the only ornamentation on them being the stylised foliage (?) motifs in the spandrels. The base is round but has four heads at 90-degree angles and ends in a square shape at the bottom; the heads appear to belong to monks and at least one of them shows a clear tonsure.
