"In the parish of Dunino, near St Andrews, about a hundred yards from the parish church, there is a primitive rock basin, which has been held to be a font. It consists of a circular basin, which has been scooped out of the solid rock, and may measure about 5 feet in diameter, and 4 feet in depth." Cited in Bond (1908: 27-28) after Notes and Queries (4. 2. 157, and 4. 3. 199).
