Described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , v. xiii): p. 376, as a niche carved into one of the columns of the north side; it is shaped like a round arch; there are three motifs ornamenting it, described in the source as two circles on the sides of a cup-like motif that has three arms, resembling a fleur-de-lis ["com si fos una flor de lis"]; the circle on the right has a Greek cross inscribed in it, while the one on the left contains a radial arrangement of six petals. There two metal hooks on the front side of the basin, one at each side of the freeze-like panel that contains the ornamentations mentioned above. The source expresses a doubt as to the function of this niche and whether or not it is really a stoup.
