Font Notes:
On-site notes: roughly hemispherical basin, totally plain, mounted on a modern polygonal concrete base. The wooden cover is covered in leather and ornamented with patterns executed in nail heads [for a more sophisticated example of this type of ornamented leather cover cf. the Index entry for the baptismal font at the Cathedral of Valencia, in Spain]. The Bishop of Elne is said to be responsible for the font in this church, made of a whitish marble from a local quarry.
