Church Notes: The present church dates from 1688 but the stoup must have been moved from an earlier church; the source [cf. supra] illustrates also a "stylophore" lion, not uncommon in this area, probably of a similar date as the stoup. [NB: there actually two such lions on the outside, the usual pair, one holding a child, the other, a cub. There are also some interesting capitals which appear to match some of the ornamentation on the stoup] - cf. also the Index entry for the interesting stoup in this church, St-Veran... No. 1.

Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM05000296] with date in the 12th century. On-site notes: the baptismal font consists of a hemispherical basin mounted on a round pedestal base. The sides of this coarse granite (?) object are crudely craved with motifs too worn to identify them now. It appears that this basin, already crudely carved originally, has had a rough existence, probably outdoors for the most. The upper rim surface has traces of four hinge hooks.
