Church Notes: The present church dates from 1688 but the stoup must have been moved from an earlier church; the source [cf. supra] illustrates also a "stylophore" lion, not uncommon in this area, probably of a similar date as the stoup. [NB: there actually two such lions on the outside, the usual pair, one holding a child, the other, a cub. There are also some interesting capitals which appear to match some of the ornamentation on the stoup] - cf. also the Index entry for the interesting stoup in this church, St-Veran... No. 1.

Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM05000296] with date in the 12th century. On-site notes: the baptismal font consists of a hemispherical basin mounted on a round pedestal base. The sides of this coarse granite (?) object are craved with motifs too worn to identify. It appears that this basin, has had a rough existence, probably outdoors. The upper rim surface has traces of four hinge hooks.
