There is an entry for Badsey [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SP0743/badsey/] [accessed 4 November 2014], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Miller (1890) reports a Norman north doorway here, and the remains of a stoup by the side of the century later south door. Described in Bond (1908): "an old wooden font, formerly in Badsey Church, Worcester, is in the vestibule of Lord Sandy's house at Ombersley." [ca. 1908? - this location not confirmed since -- there is no mention of the font in Brooks & Pevsner (2007) description of Ombersley Court]
