Font Notes:
On-site notes: the shallow cylindrical basin of the holy-water stoup has its sides ornamented with a row of scallop pattern, a horizontal line and a row of diagonal lines below, to a striking effect using the natural shine of the stone. The round pedestal base has diagonal/twist fluting pattern on it. According to the church warden the stoup dates from the same time as the new wall, i.e., 1533. All the irregularity and awkwardness of the baptismal font are contrasted with the simplicity of design, elegance and regular features and measurements of this stoup.
