On-site notes: a plain baptismal of simple design with a hemispheric basin mounted on a round pedestal base; it has a vertical division inside the basin, which, together with the depth of the basin, may indicate that the font is perhaps of an earlier period than it appears, especially if the partition was added after the font was made, as the location of the drain hole suggests; it is quite possible that it may have been re-tooled at a later period. The present church is modern, 19th-century, but an earlier church is mentioned in a source: "Dès 1081, une église romane, dédiée à saint Hippolyte, est mentionnée par un acte du Cartulaire de Lézat [...] En 1854, l’église paroissiale est démolie et rebâtie à un autre emplacement" [http://www.marquefave.fr/fr/information/78292/decouvrir-marquefave] [accessed 28 March 2020]
