Described and illustrated in García de Castro (1995): vat-shaped baptismal font ornamented with triple-moulding that covers only about one half of the circunference of the basin at the upper rim, prolonging vertically at the front (?); the rest of the moulding, at the back, may have been eroded with time, or it was never completed, especially if the font was originally located in a corner or partly embeded in a wall. The earlier location of the font in a southwest area of the church is reported in García de Castro (ibid.) as personal confirmation by two locals of Grameu, Dimas and Julio Corrales Crespo. GdeC (ibid.) relates the shape, style and chronology of this font to those of two other fonts in this region: San Salvador de Priesca and San Bartolomé de Puelles, in the Villaviciosa area [cf. Index entries for Priesca and Puelles]. Described in Alvarez Martínez (1999) as one in a group of barrel-shaped fonts dated to the 9th-11th century of the same design type as the later font originally from the church of San Pedro in Villanueva now kept at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional in Madrid. There is also a crude hemispherical holy-water stoup wall-mounted on the south wall, about half-way down. On the exterior wall, at both sides of the entranceway, have been placed two old plaques with the inscription: "IN NME / DNI FAC/TA ECLA / IN ERA D/CCCL/XXX/IIIIA" [Era 884 = 846 AD]
