Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Schätze des Glaubens (1999: 130) as a baptismal font of the Baroque period, dated 1681; the octagonal basin has short vertical sides and a rounded underbowl. The pedestal base is also ocatagonal and baluster-shaped, plain except for the mouldings. The upper basin side, at the rim, has an inscription in German between two thin horizontal grooves [text not available at present]; the basin sides have scenes of the martyrdom of St. Laurence and the four Evangelists with their symbols.
