Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Schätze des Glaubens (1999: 128) as a stylised octagonal font of the late Gothic period; the ornamentation is very sparse, just plain mouldings at the arrises and one more where the basin and the base meet (although the font appears to be all one piece); the date 1590 and the initials "JC" or "JG" (?) appear engraved on the front side of the basin. The lower base is also octagonal and wider than the pedestal. The flat plain wooden lid is also octagonal. [Reference is given in the source above as "Inventarnummer 4941.5602"]
