Church Notes: Cruz Isidoro (1997) informs that the present church was formerly the Hospital de San Pedro but that it was made into a temple dedicated to the miraculous statue of Nuestra Señora de la Caridad with the support of the Duque of Medina-Sidonia (1608 and 1610 respectively)
Described in Cruz Isidoro (1997: 220) as the second of a pair of identical holy-water stoups dated to the foundation of the church (ca. 1610); the basin is oval with a deep scotia around its middle; the pedestal base has several mouldings and also vertical fluting pattern, the lower part looking like an ornate vase with a short square piece at the lowest end.
