Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM11001970] as a baptismal font made locally in the 16th century: "Fonts baptismaux [...] 16e siècle [...] Oeuvre de provenance locale [...] Cette cuve baptismale est de forme octogonale" -- the location is given as: "Château comtal [...] Dépôt lapidaire, palier de l'escalier nord, salle 7". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP58P01320]. A communication from Pol Herman to BSI (e-mail of 17 May 2022] gives the location as "dans la salle Pierre-Embry' inside the museum and gives a reference to Auzas P.-M., « Salles de sculptures du château comtal de Carcassonne », Congrès archéologique de France, 131e session, 1973 : Pays de l’Aude , Paris, Société française d’archéologie, p. 546.
