The hemispheric basin is totally plain, as are the short stem of the base and the lower base. This font looks monolithic and suspiciously clean [a recent re-tooling would explain its fresh appearance]. [cf. Index entry for San Salvador de Cantamuda No. 2 for a rougher-looking holy-water stoup by the stairs leading to the choir (?)] [NB: our gratitude to Fernando Cañada and to José L. Estalayo Demier for the images of this font]
