The font at the village of Näs [or 'Stockholms-Näs', as it is also known] in Stockholms län [NB: not to be mistaken with its homonym in Jamtland, whose beautiful wooden font is now at the museum in Ostersund -- Index entry available] is described and illustrated by Bonnier in Kristnandet... (1996: 186-187): a chalice-shaped font of the 12th century; the hemispheric basin is ornamented with a blind arcade of round arches, more like ribs; there is ring moulding at the top of the conical and otherwise plain base. Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Uppland (1921- , Bd. VII, hft. 1: 180, 182 and fig. 170 on p. 183 and fig. 159 on p. 173) as a hemispherical mounted font of Gotland limestone dated to the late 13th century; the ribbed pattern on the sides of the basin is broad enough to resemble an arcade; the pedestal base is conical with an upper ring moulding and a splayed lower end. SK... (ibid.) gives the fonts at Husby-Ärlinghundra, Husby-Långhundra and Häverö as cognates.
