Church Notes: original church ca. 1150-1175; demolished 1883; present church late-19thC; restored late-20thC
Noted and illustrated in Brunius (1850): the tall square basin has rope motif and palmettes on the sides; the square base is short and moulded. Noted and illustrated in Tynell (1913-1921) as a font of the Munkarpsgruppen, somewaht similar to the one at Fulltofta. In Davies (1962: 65 [NB: Stocker (1997: 22) citing Davies places this font erroneously "in northern Germany"]. In Drake (2002: 184) as one of the fonts in the Munkarp group. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900624F1] as a 'palmettgrupp' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200. No cover present. The baptismal dish in use was made in 1947 by T. Jerkman.
