Illustrated in Brunius (1850: pl. XIII, 1): the vertical sides of the basin are ornamented with three registers of motifs: the upper one has a blind arcade of round arch-heads; the middle one appear to be palmettes, of the type that link at the stem, as in master Marten's works, the lower part looking like three-lines of wave-like pattern all around; the chamfer of the underbowl has fluted (or concave ribbing) pattern; the base has a deep wide scotia sandwiched between two thick roll mouldings and ends in a square lower base with a motif [leaf?/head?; some broken off] at the corners, again, much like master Marten's works. Brunius (ibid.) reports the sandstone font here as having been brought in 1595 from Allhelgonakloster [All Saints' abbe in Lund]. Noted and illustrated in Hilldebrand (1898- ). Described and illustrated in Tynell (1913- ) as a 'Genarpsgruppen' baptismal font, originally from the church of the Allhelgonakloster in Lund [cf. Brunius supra]. Noted and ilustrated in Rydbeck (1936) as one of the many medieval fonts gathered in her chapter om Palmettfuntarnas Grupp. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: ] as a 'palmettgruppen' baptismal fontmade of sandstone ca. 1200, the basin decorated with sixteen round arch-heads and sixteen palmettes. No cover present.
