Noted and illustrated in Herrera Casado (2000) with date in the 13th century. Described in Nieto Taberné (2000) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period ornamented with foliage, geometric and rope motifs. Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) as Romanesque baptismal font probably of the late 12th century made of limestone. It is a good elegant work consisting of a hemispherical basin decorated with a rope moulding at the upper rim, with a thin band or beaded-tape below, and a broader band of palm leaves and fruit (pine-cone); the rest of the sides and underbowl is plain; raised on a squat round-to-square base with spurs at 90-degree angles. One metal staple from the old cover appears to have been re-attached with damage to the rim moulding. This is a unique design in the fonts of Guadalajara province.
