Font Notes:
Described in Nieto Taberné (2000) as a monolithic baptismal font of the Romanesque period. The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) notes a Romanesque baptismal font now located in the north transept, but earlier in the sacristy and, originally, at the west end of the nave; the monolithic font is cup-shaped on a separate square lower base; the basin is decorated with thin ribbed pattern that date it to the late 13th century, like those at nearby Cifuentes and Salmerón; also some similarity with the fonts at Saelices de la Sal and Sotoca de Tajo. [NB: the dating in the Enciclopedia could be considerably off, and the font be a product of the 16th-century re-building of this church, unless it is a totally re-carved 13th-century restored and on a later base]. The surface of the font was damaged in a failed restoration [between 2009 and 2015?]
