Described in Nieto Taberné (2000) as an interesting baptismal font of the Romanesque period ornamented with ribbed pattern topped by a blind arcade and rope motif. Also in Garma Ramírez (2000). Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009), which remarks on the horseshoe-like appearance of the arch-heads that top the broad ribbed pattern; this horseshoe-shaped arches appear also on the fonts at nearby Henche and Hontanares [NB: the arches on the Hontanares font are not horseshoe-shaped, but round; we have no illustration of the Henche font to determine whether or not they are of the said shape]. The basin is practically cylindrical but has a rounded underbowl; there is a moulding at the upper rim, with the arch-heads framing the top of broad ribs that are almost rectangular in shape; there is one (?) metal staple on the side of the basin, in the spandrel of two arches, probably from the old cover; the base is round and squat, with a thick roll moulding around it. The Enciclopedia… (ibid.) suggests the fonts at Ablanque, Cifuentes, Henche, Las Inviernas, Olmeda de Cobeta and El Picazo [now in Guadalajara capital], as being stylistically related.
