On-site notes: like the holy-water stoup documented in this church [cf. Index entry for Benque... No. 1], the baptismal font is also a very crude work; it is also totally plain; the roughly hemispherical basin was probably never very different from what it is today, to the extent that it looks unfinished; it appears to be made of a grainy limestone; the short cylindrical base does not match the basin and appears to be marble and modern. Hard to believe that a church with such emphasis on John the Baptist and an elaborate holy-water stoup [cf. Benque-Dessous No. 1], would have such a crude poor font.
