Listed and illustrated in Gavín (1977, v. 2: A. Rib. 264) as a Romanesque baptismal font in the church of Sant Pere, in the municipality of Laspaules/Les Paüls. It is a chalice-shaped object, with a quasi-conical basin the sides of which are ornamented with a broad ribbed pattern; an iron reinforcement ring has been installed around the upper rim sides (probably due to cracks, etc.); the base is cylindrical and plain, and the whole stands on a plinth of bricks (?) which appears modern. There is no cover evident. [We are grateful to Montserrat Estela, Barcelona, Spain, for her help with the particulars of this font]
