Font Notes:
Listed and illustrated in Gavín (1977, v. 2: A. Rib. 262) as a Romanesque baptismal font in the church of Sant Caprás, Denui, in the municipality of Laspaules [Gavin has Nerill]. It is a rather crude work; the rounded basin has a low-relief blind arcade ornamenting the basin sides; the area where the basin meets the short cylindrical base appears slightly splayed, but this may very well be just the modern cement that has been applied to the joint. The entry for this church in Románico en Ribagorza [https://romanicoribagorzano.wordpress.com/2013/04/03/laspaules-san-caprasio-de-denuy/] [accessed 7 May 2025] mentions both the font and a similar holy-water stoup, but suggests that they may of the Renaissance period but using Romanesque-like patterns.
