Font Notes:
One of two holy-water stoups; located at either side of the entrance; this one on the right side. Belli D'Elia (1999: 207 & fig. 28) reports it as bearing the date 1524; the illustration in this same source shows a flat round stoup placed in the corner resting on two pillars; the front of the basin bears a largish coat of arms to the sides of which runs an inscription [cf. Inscriptions section for text]; the underbowl is ornamented with ribbed pattern; the bottom of the basin has two carved fish which appear to swim in the holy water. [cf. other such basin-well-bottom sculptures such as fish, a frog, an Agnus Dei, etc. on the fonts/stoups at Dinan, Narbonne, etc.]
