Listed, described and illustrated in Corbel (2000: p. 168) as one of the stoups in the parish church at Guchen and dated to the Middle Ages; it has roughly the same shape as the other stoup, i.e., capital-shaped with square top and round botom, with heads at the upper corners of the basin and some motif -now badly eroded- on the front side; it now sits directly on the floor. Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM65000997] as a medieval stoup, "Cuve provenant d'un jardin du village, récemment entreposée dans le porche de l'église (1997)". The same church has a lavabo in the sacristy with a cherub on the basin front, which would make a beautiful stoup anywhere [cf. additional church images], and another stoup not too dissimilar from this [cf. Index entry for Guchen No. 1]
