Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Närke (1939- , Bd. I, hft. 5: 726-727) as a sandstone baptismal font of the Romanesque period/style; the basin has vertical sides ornamented with a low-relief blind arcade all around; plain chamfer; large ring rope moulding on the upper end of the base; two [cf. infra] small heads, right below the ring. The whole font is very weathered, but the base is damaged and appears to have a part, the lower end, missing, broken off. Noted in Kilström (1981). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930818F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 13th century by a mid-Sweden workshop, the round base decorated with thre [cf. supra] human heads;; the SHM entry remarks that the basin shows similarities with a Gotland limestone type [="gotländska ciboriefuntarna"] but it is made of sanstone. No cover present. This font was moved to the Örebro läns museum, in Strängnäs, at one point but may have been restored and returned to the church. There is another font in this church, an octagonal pedestal limestone font dated to 1671 [cf. Index entry for Lillykyrka No. 2]
