A partial illustration of this object appears in Beltrán Audera (2000): the hemispheric basin is ornamented, on the visible side, with two large cherubs with long curled hair and spread wings, rather mannered and not very interesting; between them, however, is the naïf carving of a human figure and two animals; the figure is dressed as a Pyrenean shepherd, especially noticeable in the leggings and the "abarca" type of footware; he carries a staff in the left hand and a round, shield-like objects in the right; the animals appear to be sheep. No information is available at present of any images on the opposite side. The basin appears raised on a modern base and has signs of wear and/or damage at the upper rim sides. The font is referred to and partially illustrated in Satue Olivan's article "Religiosidad popular el el Serrable tradicional", in SERRABLO, 28, no. 114 (Dic. 1999) [on-line ed. at www.serrablo.org]. Although the shape of the vessel and the carving are reminiscent of some of the early-Romanesque works of nearby Pyrenean church fonts, this must be the work of a local mason, perhaps more ambitious than skilled, and of rather a late period, the 16th or 17th century at the earliest.
