The National Gazetteer of 1868 lists "an antique font" in this church. Kelly's Directory of 1883 reports "an old font" in this church. Described in Hutton (1957) as a baptismal font of the Perpendicular style/period. Described in Pevsner (1958): " Large, octagonal, Perp[endicular], with quatrefoil frieze and a cresting above it." The underbowl has arch-heads with sides that continue down the short octagonal stem; the lower base much wides and moulded.
