Described in Lasteyrie (1926-1927) as a 16th-century metal holy-water stoup. This metal [cast iron?] bucket-shaped stoup is illustrated in a 1884 drawing by Charles Fichot [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Maraye_en_othe_stat_monum_aube_00933.jpg] [accessed 7 May 2025]; the stoup has the usual mouldings on the sides and stands on three legs; the upper rim has handles at opposite ends, each decorated with a human head.
