Font Notes:
Described in Lasteyrie (1926-1927) as a 16th-century metal holy-water stoup. The stoup, stolen in December 1993, is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM10002885]: "Bénitier (volé) [...] Fonte de fer [...] 16e siècle [...] Il porte l'écu de France [...] Oeuvre volée le 19/20 décembre 1993". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP10W04890]. There is also an 1886 illustration of this stoup by Charles Fichot [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Villemaur_benitier_XVIe_00374.jpg] [accessed 6 May, 2025]. The present baptismal font is modern; its wooden enclosure is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM10004028]: "Clôture des fonts baptismaux [...] 18e siècle".
