Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?- , vol. IV**: 507) as a medieval baptismal font of a characteristic type in Navarra: truncated-cone base ornamented with a roll moulding around the upper end and a row of ball motif lower down; the hemispherical basin has a few ball motifs near the rim followed down by a roll moulding; there are also four vertical mouldings [NB: these are not visible in our image source of ca. 1943]; the underbowl has a row of large ball motif as well. A plain flat wooden lid appears covering the font in our ca. 1943 image source. This is a very crude work, with disproportionate motifs and badly finished detail [NB: only one font is described in Domeño's 1992 book on the medieval fonts of Navarra: the font is located in the Basílica de Santa Fe -the other church in this village- and Domeño's description of the font there appears to refer to a make font, which could have resulted in the cannibalising of the fonts from the two churchs -- we are following the description the CMdeN and our image source -- to be resolved] [cf. Index entry for Ezcániz No. 2 for the font listed in the Basílica de Santa Fe].
