Described and illustrated in Greceanu (1968) as a 14th-century bronze baptismal font; it is chalice-shaped and mounted on a tire-like stone plinth grooved at the top on at least two spots [for drainage?]. The basin is shaped like an inverted bell [bronze fonts were made often by bell makers] and has four horizontal bands or registers: the upper one is ornamented with what appears to be a grapevine; the second band has an inscription [text not available] and symbols; the third one has also text and symbols; the lower band has a grapevine like the upper one. The base is shaped like a reversed vase and has six bands of ornamentation of different breadths: the first and second have inscriptions and symbols; the third is broader has shield-like symbols; the fourth is very thin and has a few rings widely spaced; the fifth is broader and has symbols similar to the ones on the third band; the sixth and last band, at the flatter edge of the base, has grapevine motif.
