Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes des Yvelines (2000) as an octagonal basin mounted on a square bulbous baluster-type stem and a square lower base. The underbowl and lower sides are ornamented with very large oak and chestnut leaves. The same source points out that the first Indian chestnut tree ["marronnier d'Inde"] was imported into France from Costantinople in 1615 by the botanist Bachelier (ibid., v. 1, p. 248). The basin has a low wooden pyramidal cover, octagonal in shape.
