Font Notes:
Baptismal font listed in Palissy: "Fonts baptismaux en pierre calcaire polychrome [...] Siècle de création: 18e siècle". A font here is noted among the "Eléments remarquables" in this church in the Observatoire du Patrimoine Religieux [https://www.patrimoine-religieux.fr/eglises_edifices/78-Yvelines/78070-Boinville-en-Mantois/172198-EgliseSaint-Martin] [accessed 30 September 2023]. Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes des Yvelines (2000); it is rather common late font turned hedious by an attemp to make the limestone look like veined marble. The basin is rounded (oval?) with two inner wells and a flat wooden cover opening at both ends. The stem of the base is rounded and the lower base is square. Plain except for a few mouldings and the hellish paint-job.
