Described in Lasteyrie (1929) as a holy-water stoup, probably from the end of the 12th century at the earliest; the base is a man who appears to bend under the burden; "un travail assez médiocre", according to Lasteyrie. Holy-water stoup of stone located in the cloister, against the wall, by the well-head; it consists of a humen figure on bent knees holding up a ribbed circular basin, the right hand on the basin side, the left no his knee; the style of the work is not 12th-century; the basin has convex ribbed pattern on the outside and concave ribbed pattern on the inside, usually found on Gothic vessels; the figure and the folds of the garment worn also suggest a later period [NB: the church of St-Malo in Dinan has a stoup of a much later date that has a grimacing demon supporting the basin - cf. Index entry for Dinan No. 2 for details]. The stoup stands against a corner, right next to the well-head.
