Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes du Finistère (1998) as a 16th-century granite holy-water stoup; the basin is quadrangular on the outside but the inner well is cinquefoil in shape, carved with five lobes, a rare thing; the corners are finished in vertical roll moulding shape. The source [cf. supra] suggests that it is no doubt a former baptismal font. The square pedestal base does not appear to belong to this basin. [NB: the same source reports the present baptismal font as being heptagonal and made of granite (no date mentioned); the wooden lid has a sculpture of the Baptism of Christ, Not listed in this Index]
