Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes du Finistère (1998) as a 17th century double-font; it consists of a main font with a hemispheric basin ornamented with mouldings and rib pattern; the side of the basin that is over the secondary basin has an inscription with the date [1666?] of the font; the cylindrical base is a fluted column; the secondary basin is shorter and much smaller, also round, and its slender base has a moulded shape and a conical column with fluted pattern; the small basin appears cemented to the underbowl of the main one; the 'link' piece that supports both basins is shared by both basins; the stems of the base are independent. Dome metal lid, probably modern.
Baptismal font and cover are illustrated in a 18 July 2021 photograph by Romainbehar [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Saint-Vougay_-_Église_Saint-Vougay_-_Fonts_baptismaux.jpeg] [accessed 5 May 2025]. [cf. Index entry for Saint-Vougay No. 2 for a holy-water stoup in this church]
