Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes du Finistère (1998) as a 17th-century baptismal font; it is in most respects very similar to the holy-water stoup in the same church, both identified in the source [cf. supra] as products of a local workshop of the Élorn valley. The font is chalice-shaped with an inscription [cf. Inscription] at the side of the upper rim, and ribbed pattern ornamentation on the rest of the basin sides. A constructional basinette, very small, protrudes from the side of the basin and is ornamented with the same ribbed pattern. [NB: other such fonts in Brittany and one at Youlgreave in England]. The base is a cylindrical stem with thin roll moulding at top and bottom; the lower base is also cylindrical and plain. The same source reports a much damaged shield on the basin side, which it identifies as that of the Brézal family. The font appears to have been broken up into several pieces and then put together again.
