Described in Le patrimoine des communes du Finistère (1998) as a large dodecagonal basin measuring ca. 100 cm in diameter which was removed in 1860 and replaced by the present oval font. The entry for this parish in InfoBretagne [http://www.infobretagne.com/tremaouezan.htm] [accessed 21 January 2020] gives the date of the church here in the mid-15th century, and notes: "Les fonts baptismaux datent du XVIIème siècle. [...] Le baptistère hexagonal à colonnes corinthiennes et dôme, date de 1641 : une cuve en marbre rose a remplacé l'ancienne en 1860." The entry for this church in Patrimoine du Finistère, Société Archéologique du Finistère [http://patrimoine.du-finistere.org/art2/tremaouezan.html] [accessed 21 January 2020] notes: " Les fonts baptismaux occupaient autrefois, au bas de l'église, le dernier entrecolonnement de droite quand on regarde le choeur. Comme ils étaient fort encombrants à cet endroit, on les transporta, en 1860, au fond du collatéral Midi. La cuve baptismale de marbre rose, en forme de coupe ovale, est de cette même année 1860 ; elle a remplacé une vieille piscine en granit, à douze pans, sans sculpture. mais remarquable par ses dimensions (un mètre de diamètre extérieur), aujourd'hui reléguée dans le jardin du presbytère."
