Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?-) and in Domeño (1992); described and illustrated in the Gran Enciclopedia Navarra (1990): Romanesque baptismal font of the 13th century; the deep basin has a moulding with ball motif ornamentation at the upper rim, and a row of ball motif at the lower side separated by vertical mouldings; the stem of the base is cylindrical and ornamented with an upper roll moulding and ball motif lower down; the lower base or plinth is quadrangular. [NB: although no mention is made of it in the sources it should be pointed out that the crossing of vertical and horizontal mouldings on the basin sides of this series of fonts is turned into a stylised representation of human figures with their arms stretched around the basin, a motif that appears in other Romanesque fonts all over; on this particular font the intention of the carver can be identified in wo spots: the use of one of the ball motifs to imitate a head and the split of the lower moulding into two legs]. The font has a modern octagonal prism wooden cover with a Latin cross finial. The Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) notes a number of Romanesque basins of similar shape in Adoain, Aristu, Elcoaz, Jacoisti, Ayechu, Ongoz. Irurozqui, Arangozqui and Zabalza, in the same valley, and Azparren, Equiza, Uli Alto, Meoz and Igal in nearby areas.
