Described and illustrated in Le patrimoine des communes du Finistère (1998) as a bronze holy-water stoup and/or holy-water bucket; it is shaped like an upside-down bell -as many of these are, showing thus their manufacturers' specialty- and mounted on three short legs; the handle is now missing. The source [cf. supra] reports that it served for years as watering trough for the presbitery chickens. There is an inscription in Gothic lettering under the rim and the date 1499; the sides have two shields with coats of arms of the doners: a "croissant montant" for the Garlot de Kervren, and three rabbits for the sieurs de Penanrun (a/p identification in Le patrimoine..., v. 1, p. 306). The same source notes that the round seal with ermines indicates the work of a local foundry.
