Described in Domeño (1992) as a Romanesque baptismal font; the hemispheric basin has a horizontal moulding at the lower part and a row of ball motif; the cylindrical stem of the base has a roll moulding at top and a row of ball motif at bottom. The combination of vertical and horizontal mouldings on the basin side is done so as to represent human figures with linked arms, a common motif in fonts of this valley (v.g.: Equiza, etc). Domeño (ibid.) informs that the font is originally from the village of Uli Alto. [NB: this font is not listed in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra under either locality]. The Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) notes a number of Romanesque basins of similar shape in Adoain, Aristu, Elcoaz, Jacoisti, Ayechu, Ongoz. Irurozqui, Arangozqui and Zabalza, in the same valley, and Azparren, Equiza, Uli Alto, Meoz and Igal in nearby areas.
