Liste in Palissy [PM17000093]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] Taille de pierre ; sculpture [...] Ornementation (rinceau) [...] H = 80 ; d = 116 [...] Siècle de création: Moyen âge. Description historique: Cette cuve date peut-être de l'époque romane [...] Emplacement de l’œuvre dans l’édifice: Entrée de l'église". Described and illustrated in Crozet's L'art roman en Saintonge (1971: 117 and pl. XLV-C) as a Romanesque baptismal font; it is tub-shaped and with mouldings on the upper part of the sides; it is ornamented with a band of scroll pattern all around the middle. There is no cover present buy Crozet's illustration shows damage to the upper area of the side, likely caused by cover anchorings. The font is listed in "Églises & abbayes de la Saintonge romane". Noted in Le Patrimoine des Communes de la Charente-Maritime, volume 1 (Paris: Flohic, 2002): 462.
