Described in the Catálogo Monumental de Navarra (1990?) and in Domeño (1992) ) as a medieval baptismal font; the plain hemispheric basin is raised on a cylindrical pedestal, both plain, except for a thick moultin g at the upper rim of the basin [cf. Index entries for Arroniz Nos. 2-4 for holy-water stoups listed for this locality] Noted in the Enciclopedia del románico en Navarra (2008) as one of a series of plain medieval fonts in Navarra at Muniain de Guesalaz, Arroniz, Learza, Oteiza, Echavarri, Azuelo, Etayo, Ubago, Mues, Cabrega, Murieta, Piedramillera and Villamayor de Monjardin, in the Estella region, as well as those in the valleys of Oloriz, , Garinoain and Muruzabal de Andion, as plain medieval fonts in the area.
