Mentioned in Crozet's L'art roman en Saintonge (1971) as a holy-water stoup carved from a plain capital. On-site notes: the old holy-water stoup found inside this church is of crude design and execution, not at all like the description in either of the two sources mentioned; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin with the date '1648' scratched on its side, raised on a round pedestal base made of two blocks; additionally, there is a grey-marble stoup of later date and proficient execution, a round basin with a pronounced rim, raised on a round baluster-type base. [NB: we were not able to located the item listed as a capital-shaped baptismal font in the Palissy dabase [référence IM16000400] -- cf. Index entry for Sauvignac No. 1 for the font itself]
