Described and illustrated in Gischia (1939) as a 6th or 7th century holy-water stoup made of varnished clay; it is now [1939] in the Musée des antiquités nationales, but was originally from Sainte-Hermine in Vendée. The illustration shows an oblong, without a base and with two handles, one at each end; the visible side has vertical lines and snake-like motifs, plus three crosses inside circles: a large one in the centre and two small on the sides.
