Listed in Palissy [ref.: IM21004339] with date probably in the 16th century. Described and illustrated in the Inventaire général... (1977) as a baptismal font probably of the 16th century; the square basin has moulded sides with grotesque heads at the corners, although one of the heads illustrated in the source [cf. supra] appears "normal" and holds a shield. The base is a square pedestal also with a moulded area towards the bottom. The cover is a low copper pyramid with a ball finial.
