Described and illustrated in the Inventaire général... The shallow underbowl is ornamented with large ribs. The base consists of a slender central shaft and three lions "sedentes", at least one of which holds a shield with coat-of-arms (the source [cf. supra] states that there are three coats-of arms held by the lions ("Trois blasons tenues par les lions", ibid., p. 184) and gives the heraldic description of the unidentified emblem: a six-point star in the centre, with three clover arranged two at the top and one at the bottom (ibid., p. 30). The lions rest on a three-pronged lower base. The font cover, perhaps from the same date as the font and done in painted wood, is also trefoil in shape, a medium dome (51 cm) with a finial (?)
