Described and illustrated in the Inventaire général... (1980) as a baptismal font probably dating to the the 17th century and originally from the old church which was demolished in 1828; the same source informs that they covered in stucco in 1833 by Antoine Feuerstein, of which it was cleaned in 1965 to reveal the original yellow sandstone of the basin and the pink of the base stem. It is a slender pedestal font with a hemispheric basin, the whole raised on a square lower base or plinth. The basin is decorated with stylised shell motif (looking like modified ribs) and four-petal rosettes; on the upper part, just below the rim, a narrow garland. The stem of the base is ornamented with low-relief acanthus leave motif and palmettes. There is a dome cover on it which appears to be made of metal.
